All westbound lanes on East Freeway at Thompson Road shut down after crash, HCSO deputies say

BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) -- A major crash involving a commercial truck with a cargo trailer prompted all westbound lanes of the East Freeway at Thompson Road to shut down on Thursday, according to Lt. Terry Garza with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Baytown Police Department, the crash is also impacting eastbound traffic due to the center barrier.

At this time, details are limited to what led up to the crash.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and expect significant delays as first responders respond to the scene.
